To allow market players to prepare for go live of mFRR EAM March 4th, 2025, Nordic Balancing Model program shares some data sets from the test operation of the new mFRR market systems.
The data is shared to be as transparent as possible. Please note that the data is test data and can be significantly different from the actual operation after go-live. Test data is the best available data. However, it is not possible to predict activation patterns and prices after go-live.

The data set mostly reflects today’s bids, without post-go-live bidding strategy changes. Also, it operates automatically without operator intervention, and without market parties' response. The bid volumes do not fully reflect the new dimensioning process that will mean that the TSOs will secure more reserves in certain areas and ensure more available transmission capacities between the bidding zones. This means that the data set contains more scarcity situations and higher prices compared to what we expect after go-live. Prices that would have been analyzed manually due to the pricing issue in Nordic mFRR EAM are marked in the price file.

The activated bids per bidding zone. Actually activated bids in existing operation and selected bids from the shadow operation. Difference between mFRR request and activation indicate that there are exchange or netting between areas.

Prices 5.2-16.2
The prices per quarter hour from the bid selection. From go-live until 15 min ISP is introduced at March 18, the pricing will be per hour, where the highest 15 minute price in the dominating direction will set the price for the whole area. For comparing imbalance prices from today's operation is included
