Fingrid has agreed with the Estonian transmission system operator Elering on the transition of intraday trading (ID) to 15-minute resolution market time units (MTUs). Intraday trading consists of continuous trading and auctions held three times a day, which will use 15-minute MTUs instead of 60-minute MTUs after the transition. Simultaneously with the 15-min MTU change, the flow change limit between MTUs (known as ramping rate) shall decrease on Estlink from the current 600 MW/MTU to 300 MW/MTU in the intraday and dayahead markets.
The 15-min MTU change on Estlink will come into effect on January 22, 2025.
