Webinar on mFRR Shadow Operation Data October 7th
NBM is pleased to invite market participants to a Nordic webinar October 7, where key insights and raw data from test runs of the mFRR shadow operation will be presented.
The new balancing systems have for some time been operating in a parallel test mode called "shadow operation". The new systems for automated balancing are used in parallel with the real operation to be able to verify the systems, and to compare the operation before and after go-live of automated Nordic mFRR EAM.Insights and raw data from test runs from the shadow operation will be shared in a common Nordic webinar on October 7, 14:00-15:30 PM CET.
You can participate in the webinar on Teams via this link. No registration is required
What to Expect from the webinar:
During the webinar, NBM will present findings from the shadow operation, including:
- Activation patterns and volumes (up and down)
- Geographic trends in activations
- Expected impact on imbalance and mFRR prices
NBM will also share a comprehensive anonymized dataset at the Bidding Zone (BZ) level, covering at least one month of data on:
- mFRR requests (per 15 minutes, per BZ
- Activated volumes (per 15 minutes, per BZ
- Expected mFRR prices (per 15 minutes, per BZ
Important notes: The mFRR shadow operation data should be interpreted with care, as it is test data and does not fully represent real market conditions. The dataset reflects today’s bids, without post-go-live bidding strategy changes, and it operates automatically without operator intervention.
