Paper on the use of production plans – related to single price – single position

The Nordic TSOs have written the paper “Current requirements for production plans and imbalances, monitoring and the use of production plans in balancing” to describe the current setup with regards to provision and utilization of production plans in the Nordic countries.

Once the imbalance settlement scheme is changed from the current set-up to single price – single position, the production plans will not be a component included in the imbalance settlement anymore. However, the need for good quality production plans for the TSOs still remains for operational purposes. This paper therefore explains what the TSOs use the production plans for and why it is important that the quality of the plans in the future continues to be high. In addition, current requirements on imbalances and monitoring is described.
