The Nordic TSOs invite stakeholders to a webinar regarding the Nordic TSOs’ proposal for FRR dimensioning rules. Due to essential changes in the dimensioning proposal this is now being consulted again between 1 April and 1 May.
The Nordic LFC Block consists of four countries and eleven bidding zones. This could be compared to the general structure in Continental Europe where one LFC block usually consists of one country and one bidding zone. The relative complexity of the Nordic block has an impact on the way the dimensioning is structured.
The Nordic LFC block will be dimensioned starting from “N-1” at country level and with a supplement for historical BRP imbalances on LFC-area level. Possibilities for sharing of reserves in the LFC block will be utilized. The dimensioning will continuously be adjusted based on the combined ability of the Nordic LFC Block to keep the balance and maintain system security. The proposal represents the general dimensioning rules where the details are yet to be developed.
The purpose of the webinar is to further clarify the proposal and to discuss the further development of FRR dimensioning methodology.
Date: Wednesday 10 April
Time: 10:00 – 11:30h CET
The meeting will be held in English.
The full proposal including explanatory document as well as further information regarding the ongoing consultation are available at Entso-E.
