NBM - status update on the ongoing assessment of the mFRR EAM timeline

As announced on 13 December 2022, the go-live of mFRR EAM (manual Frequency Restoration Reserve Energy Activation Market) will be delayed. The reason for the delay is the need for additional time to carry out IT development of local IT systems within Svenska kraftnät and Statnett, as well as the dependency on the implementation of the flow-based capacity calculation.

Svenska kraftnät and Statnett are still in an investigative phase, looking at all possible measures to increase speed of development, reduce dependencies, as well as decrease the scope of local mFRR EAM development. The purpose is to limit the impact on the overall NBM roadmap, including the 15-minute market time unit.

The Nordic TSOs will provide an information update as soon as more details are available.
